I am not sure how it is October already, but here we are ????. October is a month with 2 birthstones, opal & pink tourmaline. Opal was the traditional birthstone, but in 1952, the National Association of Jewelers added pink tourmaline because the opal was seen by many as too feminine in appearance & there were questions about durability. Now, I’m not sure how they thought pink tourmaline was any less “feminine in appearance,” ????♀️ but they didn’t consult me ????. #morethanakiss #octoberbirthstone #opal #pinktourmaline
